We are closely monitoring the guidance of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) regarding the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus. We understand that recent news and uncertainty surrounding the COVID-19 situation may have caused you to re-think coming in for your appointment. Please be assured that we are screening every patient and visitor the day before their visit by asking the following questions:
o Have you traveled outside the United States within the last 14 days?
o Have you been in direct contact with a person with a confirmed case of Coronavirus?
o Do they have symptoms related to COVID-19 (runny nose, sore throat, cough, fever, difficulty breathing)
If anyone answers yes, then we are rescheduling their appointment until they have been cleared by a medical professional (if they have symptoms) or passed the 14 day waiting period (of contact, symptoms, or international travel).
In addition to this, Ventavia has implemented the following protocol:
o Depending on the office you go to, we are designating separate entrances for pregnant mom’s and wellness visits
o Staff is frequently washing their hands with soap and water for a minimum of 20 seconds
o Staff is wearing masks for all infant visits and visits where patients are 60+
o Immediately after each patient use, rooms and all equipment are being wiped down with medical grade wipes and sanitized before the next patient arrives
We are aiming to help #flattenthecurve by implementing this protocol so we can slow the spread of this virus while continuing operations.
